Check out this brand new track and be on the lookout for more dopeness @ soundcloud & bandcamp.

Tashaki Miyaki - Get It Right

How about some stunning B&W video of horses in the moonlight by Juan Iglesias for this beautiful new slow-burning popgaze song from mysterious Californian artists that I can still find next to nothing about, but whom I have blogged about before:

Previously: “Somethin’ is Better Than Nothin’

Nab their new 4-song self-titled EP by way of The Sounds Of Sweet Nothing.

Jezus Million- ” Benefits “

keep it cool.

You can fly away forever, straight up to the top. Don’t fall behind. Catch that red beam of light and soar on through…

I’ve been following the Boston-based producer Jezus Million, every single step of the way. So far he’s only got a short five-track EP and a few singles to his name, but I can already tell this kid is going to be big in the very near future.

Don’t go sleepin’ on it. This is some next level shit.

The Field“Everday”

I was lucky enough to see The Field and Walls play at Cyprus Avenue in Cork, Ireland late last week. Besides the amazing Wilco show at Tanglewood in the summer of 2007, I can’t remember seeing another live show that was such a goddamn party. Both groups’ sets were killer—both The Field and Walls stretched out their tracks to 10-15 minute marathons and in the process made the beats heavier, the grooves more dynamic and the ambient transitions more cosmically beautiful. The Field was even able to exceed my already very high expectations, which is saying something coming from a fervent fan of Axel Willner’s work for a few years now. The now 3-piece group of him/drummer/bassist works astonishingly well both live and in studio, which makes me wonder why he didn’t just make the transition years ago.

Not only that, but the venue and crowd were perfect as well. It’s a small venue with a low ceiling, but everyone gave each other plenty of space and completely lost themselves to the music, sometimes even having mini dance-offs with surrounding members of the audience. And the whole time I was doing the same, dancing my face off with a permanent ear-to-ear grin across my face. I’m not sure if his tour of the US is completed by this point, but if he comes around your area again I can’t recommend the experience highly enough.

Sweetheart of Kairi & CoMa- ” Last Summer Song “

please don’t leave me.

Don’t say goodbye just yet. Let’s spend one more day together…

Owsey and Sorrow are two British producers who make music together under the name Sweetheart Of Kairi. They had their friend CoMa lay down her stunning voice on this one last song for the summer days.

Halls - I Am Not Who You Want

Gorgeous, minimal song meets stunning minimal slow-mo video. Swoon.

thesoundsofsweetnothing:

I’m really pleased to announce that our 7th release will be the debut physical release from London based artist Halls, who will release his “Fragile EP” on 12” and Download on January 19th 2012.

This is the visually entrenched video for “I Am Not Who You Want” directed by Sebastian Nevolls (of Blue Planet fame).

It’s hard to determine whether Samuel Howard is the voice of enlightenment and his agonizing lyrics of this song form the manifesto of a generation of shy bedroom bound teenagers or the opposite - that these are the last words of a man beyond the point of return.

Telescope Thieves ft. Gabrielle Rodriguez- ” Library “

sky travel.

Look over that bridge and you will find a very special place filled with sun-kissed vocal melodies and peaceful piano sounds…

Mario De Los Santos describes Telescope Thieves as his “Sunday afternoon side-project”. During the rest of the week he plays bass in another band called MorningWar (with Gabrielle Rodriguez).

I will say with confidence that I don’t think I’ve really heard anything like this before.

The way this track ends is truly brilliant. Listen for yourself.

Teebs“Pretty Poly”

Teebs, the southern California-based artist and Flying Lotus protege who crafts angelic instrumental hip-hop, has a new EP of sorts out on Brainfeeder called Collections 01. In the words of the man himself, “these records are neither EPs or full albums, just mini collections of ideas.” And considering that this one is numbered “01”, that leads me to believe that there will be more to come. I returned time and time again to drink from the glittering, dreamy fountain that was last year’s Ardour, so my fingers are crossed for us having a wealth of new Teebs tracks to grace our eardrums. “Pretty Poly” is a sensual highlight from this new offering which beckons you down it’s rabbit hole with a siren-like sample and spindly fingers outstretched.

Twin Sister - Kimmi in a Rice Field (REID Remix)

Yesterday, Chris premiered an amazing remix of this song by Balam Acab.  Something must be in the air, ‘cuz here’s another incredible redux, this time by Cork, Ireland producer REID.
